This course will meet on April 14, from 9a – 1p. Our 4 hours together will be spent diving into the wonderful scents of essential oils and their regenerative properties. Essential oils have been shown to stimulate, nourish and boost the immune system while relieving anxiety and other stressors. You will learn which oils are best for each skin type and the healing effects of some of the most common. You will also learn the most appropriate way to apply essential oils, such as which carriers to use.
Aromatherapy was a term coined by a French chemist in the 1920’s and the word has stuck to describe the use of these essential oils. However, they have been used for thousands of years as a way to heal, to calm and to rejuvenate. The oils are extracted from the flowers, seeds, fruit and roots of different plants and herbs. One of the most common, is tea tree oil. It can be used for all skin types. It has been shown to oxygenate skin cells and even repair damaged skin.
