By combining these two approaches, students will find they have a fully integrated knowledge of skincare that can be used to start a career as an esthetician in a variety of settings.
Our 600 hour esthetics program takes 6 months to complete and even includes a correspondence component. 200 hours will be dedicated to in class courses that focus on medical, corrective skincare topics such as, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and skin analysis; and holistic, natural topics that will include aromatherapy, facials, and Ayurvedic body treatments. 150 hours are dedicated to the sciences and these topics include, anatomy, physiology, and chemistry. They will also include study on maintaining a sanitary work environment. The final 250 hours will be spent in hands-on practice in our student clinic or an Internship can be arranged to work with a Licensed Esthetician in a spa, wellness center or medical setting. These hours are meant to provide the student a place to practice with guidance and feedback from a professional esthetician.
