Whether you have calluses, flaky skin, or a general rough-around-the-edges look to your feet, this DIY foot scrub will be your saving grace! It will help smooth, polish, and soften your feet, leaving them fresh and renewed. This scrub is a basic recipe and can be customized to your specific needs by using different carrier oils and essential oils.
To amp up this scrub even more, you can use an herbal-infused olive oil (some favorites for tired, dry feet are peppermint, rosemary, calendula, or comfrey).
- ¾ cup fine sea salt
- ¼ cup coarse sea salt
- ¼ olive oil
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- Essential oils (optional)
Mix all of the ingredients together and pour them into a glass jar to store. This recipe makes about 8 oz. of scrub.
To use, simply scoop out a small portion of the scrub and apply in circular motions to your feet, focusing on rough patches or dry skin. The salt provides the necessary exfoliation to remove layers of dry, hardened skin, while the oils provide the moisture required to avoid dryness in the future.
