09 Jan Video: Clay Mask Treatment
At the School of Botanical Aesthetics, our student clinic offers holistic facials for everyone. A clay mask treatment is part of the facial experience that we offer our clients. Many aestheticians have moved away from the use of clay masks and now use peels instead. At our school, we believe in offering natural ingredients that come from the earth to connect more deeply to ourselves and nature.
A clay mask has many benefits. Clay has been shown to draw out toxins from deep within the body. It has been show to absorb radiation and other harmful impurities. It is appropriate for all skin types, including those who have oily skin. It also works as a gentle exfoliator.
The following video demonstrates the application of the clay mask treatment. Essential oils can be added to create even more benefits. To get the best results from the clay, it should be left on for about ten minutes. The mask is removed with warm water and the use of warm cloth compresses.
To experience all of the amazing benefits of clay masks, schedule a facial in the School of Botanical Aesthetics student clinic. If you are interested in exploring other natural and holistic skin care treatments, enroll in the 600 hour course or sign up for one of our continuing education classes!
