14 Jan Video: Facial Cloth Compresses
As part of the School of Botanical Aesthetics 600 hour program, students will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real clients who come in with a variety of skin types and needs. The Aesthetics student clinic offers holistic facials using organic products and techniques.
The first step in our holistic facial is to use warm cloth compresses. These are soaked in hot water and essential oils. The essential oils are specifically chosen based on the client’s skin care needs and personal preferences. A warm cloth compress softens skin in order to prepare it for deep cleaning. It also serves another important purpose – it boosts the functioning of the lymphatic system.
The warm cloth compresses are placed on the client’s chest and face. The aesthetician employs a gentle rolling massage technique. This massage also boosts immune function. When your lymphatic and immune system are functioning at their optimal level then it will show in the appearance of your skin.
