Medical Aesthetics FAQS

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation technique that uses a sterile surgical blade to remove dead surface skin cells and fine vellus hair. This treatment delivers immediate smoothing and brightening results, enhances product penetration, and supports healthy cellular turnover. As a certified provider, dermaplaning becomes a powerful service for improving texture, tone, and overall skin quality with no downtime for clients.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a results-driven exfoliation treatment that uses a controlled chemical solution to remove damaged surface layers and stimulate cellular renewal. Chemical peels address acne, pigmentation, fine lines, sun damage, texture irregularities, and visible aging. Certification allows estheticians and cosmetologists to confidently customize treatments, improve client outcomes, and expand their advanced service offerings.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliation treatment that improves skin texture, tone, and clarity by removing dead surface skin cells. It may be performed using either a diamond tip device or a crystal spray system, though modern practice strongly favors diamond tip technology, which is the focus of our training program. With certification, estheticians and cosmetologists gain a highly effective, low-downtime service that supports anti-aging, acne management, and overall skin health.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering collagen production and long-term skin remodeling. This certification equips estheticians to treat concerns such as acne scarring, fine lines, texture irregularities, large pores, and compromised skin structure with precision and confidence. Microdermabrasion certification is required prior to enrolling in microneedling training.
