The Course

In order to offer Chemical Peels for your clients, an esthetician or cosmetologist in Colorado is required to take a Chemical Peels course from a state approved esthetician school.

The Focus of the Chemical Peels Course for Estheticians is to provide an in-depth study of the science and techniques utilized in this modality, with a conscious effort to ensure utilizing this modality within the scope of practice of an Esthetician in the State of Colorado.

Honing in on the benefits and contraindications of Chemical Peels, each student will learn the proper techniques, best tools, and products as well as a comprehensive treatment plan to be able to confidently educate and perform Chemical Peels on their clientele.

Upon Completion of the Chemical Peels Course for Estheticians at the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics, the student will earn a 24-hour certificate.

chemical peels

Chemical peels are chemical or organic solutions that are applied to the skin to exfoliate at different depths to achieve results. Chemical peels damage the skin in a controlled manner, to make new cells come to the surface so the damaged skin regenerates. This promotes improved appearance, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, brightens and evens skin tone, regulates acne, softens scar tissue and PIH, lifts pigmentation, and strengthens the skin barrier function.

Chemical peels are used to treat a variety of skin conditions. They are most commonly used to treat acne, hyper-pigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles, scarring, and actinic keratosis.
