A career as an esthetician can be rewarding. If you are naturally nurturing and want to do something positive in your life then you might want to consider a career as an esthetician. At the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics in Denver, we incorporate a holistic approach to skincare that focuses on the person as a whole and how that is reflected across the health of a client’s skin.
Upon completion of a state-approved training program, estheticians can work in salons, spas, and resorts. One is qualified to go into cosmetics marketing, beauty consulting, or even the medical community. A medical esthetician assists a plastic or cosmetic surgeon with post-surgery healing in an effort to reduce scarring. This career path may require further training.
To begin the process of licensing, you must complete 6oo hours of training which can take up to 6 months. Once this training is completed, you must pass a state licensing exam.
