Dermaplaning is a simple and safe physical/mechanical exfoliation treatment for the epidermis, also known as microplanning, epidermal leveling or blading. Dermaplaning is the controlled scraping of the skin using a sterile, surgical blade held at a 45-degree angle for the removal of keratinized cells on the outer stratum corneum and fine vellus hair.

This training is a hybrid online + hands-on training, led by SBMA Instructor Jenn Britto.
The Focus of the Dermaplane Course for Estheticians is to provide an in- depth study of the science and techniques utilized in this modality, with a conscious effort to ensure utilizing this modality within the scope of practice of and Esthetician in the State of Colorado.
Honing in on the benefits and contraindications of Dermaplane, each student will learn the proper techniques, best tools and products as well as a comprehensive treatment plan to be able to confidently educate and perform Dermaplane services on their clientele.
Upon Completion of the Dermaplane Course for Estheticians at the School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics, the student will earn a 16-hour certificate.
Wednesday, August 4th – Dermaplane Live Zoom 10am-12pm
Monday, August 9th – In-person hands on trades Day 1 – 10am-2pm
Wednesday, August 11th – In-person hands on trades Day 2 – 10am-6:30pm
Deposit: $50 to secure your place (goes towards tuition | remainder due a week before class begins)
