Our Products Reflect Our Story
We’ve carried several different product lines since we started the school in 2012. It’s been a creative and collaborative process with my team to find the product lines that match our mission and complement our skincare philosophy. It’s been our own learning journey – finding what fits us the best and what we want to share with students.
It matters to me what I use on my skin. It matters to me what you use on your skin. It matters to me what we teach our aesthetics students to use on their skin. Our skin is the largest organ of our body. It’s an organ just like your liver and your heart are organs. We need to take care of our skin – both from the inside with what we eat and drink and from the outside with what we topically put on our skin.

With skincare product lines, we’ve hand-selected products that reflect this skincare philosophy, and we find that our alumni are more ready to be in varied work environments because they work with five different lines while students.
Also, we teach beyond each of these product lines to Ingredient Knowledge itself. We don’t have classes just on each product line; we have classes about skincare ingredients, and then we connect those ingredients to the product lines we carry. This way, we train students to think critically and to understand ingredients first and foremost. That way, they are well-versed in recognizing good and bad ingredients, and in turn – helpful and unhelpful product lines.
Below is my story and connection with one of our product lines – why I chose to carry it as backbar and retail at my school and what I love about it. I’ll be writing a story about each of our lines so you can learn the “why” and the “when” and my personal connection to each line:
